I was just looking for some interesting articles to read on the net when I saw this banner on Morgan Stanley website. It says "One client at a time". No wonder! I am following this philosophy for last several years!!

I like to describe email as a "PUSH" technology in which, at the prescribed moment, we massively push forward thousands of messages, hoping they get to the correct mailboxes and are, in due time, read by the intended recipient. RSS, on the other hand, is a "PULL" technology in which the reader is notified by his RSS reader that a new issue is ready, then the issue can be read whenever desired. No email problems are incurred, no email address changes are necessary, and, in fact no email address is even required. That alone makes RSS very appealing due to spam and privacy concerns.

Has anyone noticed that you can save only upto 6 (six) pages in your my yahoo account. Each page can have upto 25 RSS feeds. It means you can not read more than 150 feeds! The average number of feeds anyone will like to read is well below that limit. But since different new ways of using RSS feeds are found out (like weather, Google/ebay/amazon searches in RSS, etc.), I wonder if this limit will be a problem in the future!

Imagine watching your favorite TV show in your car, as and when you want, without any commercial breaks or scrolling ads! Precisely same can happen with the contents of the websites with the help of RSS. The website will publish a RSS feed that you can capture and read at your convenience. That is all about RSS!!!

Google Now Offering a Local Search:
Google has rolled out a local search option from its testing bed at Google Labs.

The first box is for keywords that you want to search for.
The second is for US address, city & state, or zip code
(unfortunately it currently works only in US)
You have the option of expanding or contracting your search by limiting results to within 1 mile, 5 miles etc. of your query location. You may also "Save Location" via a checkbox on the query page.

To remove all hyperlinks from a Word document, select the document with Ctrl+A, then use Ctrl+Shift+F9 to convert the document to text. A quicker way to remove a single hyperlink is to right click on it and select "Remove Hyperlink" from the context menu.
To select a single sentence hold down the Ctrl key and click anywhere in the sentence.
Roll the cursor to the left margin next to the line and when the cursor changes from the usual "I beam" to an arrow pointing to one o'clock, click to select (highlight) the entire line.
To select an entire paragraph, triple click in the paragraph.
