The Google.com Cache now has a "text only" link which will reformat the whole page without graphics and styles.

This'll find the keyword "revolution" and any numbers between 1776 and 1781, which is nice for historical research. You can also look for title of the page that contain your search criteria. allintitle:revolution 1776..1779

Google Now Offering a Local Search:
Google has rolled out a local search option from its testing bed at Google Labs.

The first box is for keywords that you want to search for.
The second is for US address, city & state, or zip code
(unfortunately it currently works only in US)
You have the option of expanding or contracting your search by limiting results to within 1 mile, 5 miles etc. of your query location. You may also "Save Location" via a checkbox on the query page.

The program, Gender Guesser uses Google's database to search for common patterns involving that first name. It then determines from popular usage on the web whether the name is more commonly for a male or a female.

It's a popularity contest using the Google search engine. Enter two words, names, or phrases, and find out which one occurs on more pages on the web. For example, try cat vs dog. I tried Atal Bihari Vajpayee vs Sonia Gandhi and the result was Atal Bihari Vajpayee (34,200) Sonia Gandhi (27,800)!

Google Web search now allows searchers to search for "numerous" non-HTML files, including Corel
documents. Corel documents are not listed as a searchable filetype in Google's advanced search.
However, if you search for filetype:cdr inurl:cdr you will get Corel documents listed, along with links to view them as HTML files. Google apparently also recognizes at least some Microsoft Works files (filetype:wps), Microsoft Write (filetype:wri), Lotus WordPro (filetype:lwp) and SQL files (inurl:sql filetype:sql). Theoretically you can search for ANY filetype using the filetype: syntax; you just won't always be able to read it. (The search inurl:foo filetype:foo , for example, will get you results.)

You can also exclude certian domains from your search. For e.g. when I search for Shantanu Oak, I don't want to see results from shantanuoak.com!
