I had never thought it's possible to drag and drop files from your local computer to the web server. I think it's supported only on Windows 2000. Goto the site

It will ask for the password. Once you have typed the password you can simply browse your server and drag and drop the files from your local computer to the web server.

The folks that brought you the massively popular file-sharing service Kazaa are getting into the voice-over-IP Net phone biz with Skype. Kazaa cofounders Janus Friis and Niklas Zennstrom have launched what they claim is the first Internet phone service to use peer-to-peer software. In just its first week, 60,000 people downloaded the free Skype
software. The controversial pair say their Skype will "have a similar disruptive impact" to Kazaa's, but for traditional telephone companies instead of record companies. The question now is how long it will take for telecom companies--especially those that provide high-speed Net access as well as telephone service--to take the action against P2P VoIP as the entertainment industry did against file sharing.

Google Labs has just rolled out Google Search by Location at

As you might imagine, it allows you to search the Web based on location. The front page consists of two query boxes: a box for keywords and a box to provide an address, city and state, or zip. (Sorry, this appears to work only on the US at the moment.) The search result provides a map of where you're searching along with notations of where the search results are on the map.

Verisign, on Sep. 15, 03 added wildcard DNS records to all .com and .net domains - redirecting surfers who get lost on the Net to a search page, called Site Finder, run by the company. Those who type in non-existent addresses will be served up Site Finder, instead of an error message.

How do you manage your files?
